Do you love exploring the great outdoors? Thrive on travel and adventure? Think this planet is pretty darn epic and worthy of protection? Yes?! Well then, welcome to Wayfare Collective! Our goal is to connect people who say yes to adventure, look for ways to live environmentally conscious lives, and are all around stoked on life. I am absolutely ecstatic to get this community started, which I’ll do by telling you just a little bit about me (Kristen), my hopes for this crazy adventure, and how you can join in on the fun.
I’m Kristen, an ocean lover, mountain explorer, culture seeker who started Wayfare Collective because I am on a personal mission is to inspire you (and anyone else I can get my mitts on) to live an adventurous, environmentally conscious, happy and healthy life. My professional life is spent working in the environmental field to conserve our valuable coastal and marine resources. My home base, Santa Barbara, is the perfect launching pad for weekend (and sometime weeknight) adventures, it offers daily views of the beautiful Pacific, and it is crawling with people who choose life experience over things (one of my mantras). I ditch the cubicle often to get out and explore.
What are my hopes for Wayfare Collective? My goal is to bring together a community of adventurous souls who love to get outdoors and enjoy everything nature has to offer and are passionate about protecting the environment. The website/blog will be a way to share helpful tips on everything from finding adventure in your busy, daily life, to traveling on a budget, to protecting the planet while you enjoy it. Wayfare Collective is here to help you explore the land and sea while we (as a community) encourage environmental consciousness to ensure we keep the oceans clean, the rivers wild, and the trails shaded by trees for generations to come.
Once again, welcome to the Collective! Stay connected by signing up for our email list, keep comin' on back to the blog, or follow us on Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest/Twitter. Don't be surprised when we disappear for a few days or even weeks--We like to ditch technology when we adventure!
